Blog 5/12

The rhetoric of a poet and that of a president are very different. A president is biased. He believes in his own views and is not very accepting to ideas of others, such as that of other parties. A president speaks to convince people on himself and ideas that he creates with his group of people. He will put down the ideas of other parties in order to make himself look better. In public however, they disguise their voice to be more the voice of the people and look like they are trying to fit their needs. They have a voice of power when they speak with their party and a voice that they use to speak in front of people, a more comforting, receptive way a speaking.
A poet speaks from their own point of view as well, but is able to see the logic in all sides of the situation. President's are more "My way or the highway" in terms of how they view situations. Poet's can speak from many views but they are all vastly different and make sense in many ways. Poet's can speak differently, depending on their audience but most of the time what they say is still the same. They don't usually change their identity for a different audience.
